Shadow and Bone

I had the amazing experience of joining the Pirate Software July 2024 Game Jam with a team of five very talented individuals. 

During this jam I took over the core role of lead game designer and created the vast majority of the C# and Visual Script within Unity. 

The Idea

Creating a New Game in Two Weeks

This project was completely built from the ground up using no pre-made assets or artwork. We met as a group once the theme was revealed and decided on using a metroidvania style platformer to tell the story of Shadow. I utilized the newer visual scripting within Unity to create the player controller and UI controller, while using C# for other scripts within the level. Creating the character, I wanted to make sure it could be easily tuned and adjusted to fit the level design and achieve the feeling we wanted the character to have.
